One Small Step for You, One Giant Leap for Mankind

Whole 30, P90X, Workout Bootcamp, Signing up for a Marathon.

What do all of these have in common? Besides, being intense, they each require all or nothing.

The thing about health is that there isn’t one thing that fixes everything.

But one thing can start momentum and change the direction you’re heading.

In the season of “new year, new me” and setting multiple fitness goals at once, my challenge to you is to set one small movement goal.

That’s it. Just one.

Some ideas are:

  • Stretch for 3 minutes when you wake up in the morning.
  • Go for a 10 minute walk on your lunch break.
  • Take a family bike ride after school.
  • Do crunches or push ups during commercials of your favorite show.

Creating new habits can be as simple as one small change, that’s not a huge time commitment, and that won’t leave you feeling shame or regret if you skip it.

Pick something that you already enjoy or that feels good when you move that way, and start there.
